Why should you care?

CDC – reports over 100 million American have diabetes or prediabetes
Of this:

30 million have Type 1 Diabetes which is a genetic autoimmune disease and unavoidable
86 million adults -1 in 3 people- has prediabetes, the precursor to full scale Type 2

Diabetes which is a totally preventable disease and in most cases avoidable.

If you are prediabetic you will become a diabetic without major lifestyle intervention which often includes weight loss and long-term healthy eating habits, people are highly likely to progress to type 2 diabetes.

If you are prediabetic or have type 2 diabetes you are at an increased risk of heart disease, stroke, and many cancers but worst of all 5x more likely to die from a heart attack or a stroke.

Health risks include blindness, kidney failure, permanent foot and nerve damage
Physicians and healthcare providers are looking at new ways to address the epidemic of obesity and type 2 diabetes, collectively called “diabesity.” Diabesity encompasses the related conditions of obesity, type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome that plague millions.

The Ideal Protein Protocol, a medically designed and developed protocol for weight loss and weight maintenance. The Ideal Protein Protocol attacks the root cause of obesity that often leads to type 2 dibetes – the over production of insulin that often results from the standard American diet. The often handed, standard advice “eat less and exercise more” has not typically produced sustainable results in weight loss, and low-fat diets have certainly done little to slow down the diabetes epidemic.

Dietary carbohydrate restriction has been shown to be the best and most effective approach in diabetes management and remission. Research shows that carbohydrate is the main dietary determinant of blood glucose and that restricting carbohydrates shows the greatest reduction in blood glucose levels. Lower insulin levels mean the body is able to use stored fat for energy and the client loses weight.

Our ketogenic eating plan along with1 on 1 coaching we can go beyond treating symptoms and help patients achieve metabolic transformation and reach a healthy weight – enabling them to potentially avoid diabetes and live longer, healthier lives.

Take the task of losing weight one day at a time and be proud of every positive step you make for your health. Sometimes this path you’re on is hard, but you know it’s worth it!
